The article "The Digital DIsconnect" doesn't share new information to educators, at least not the educators interested in technology. The article discusses how important the internet is to students and how schools have been very slow to respond. Metaphors that the students use; "The Internet as a textbook and reference library, as virtual tutor and study shortcut, as virtual study group, as virtual guidance counselor, and the Internet as virtual locker, backpack, and notebook. Schools control and change the way the students use, and wish to use the Internet.
